Spring – Creating a Strong Foundation

Spring is about a fresh start, regeneration and regrowth. Our treatments are uniquely formulated to work in the cooler of climates to reawaken plant life:

Aeration And Spiking

Aeration is the perforation of soil with small holes

  • Alleviates soil compaction to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots
  • Roots grow deeper to produce a stronger and more vigorous lawn
  • Reduces water logging
  • Increases drought tolerance

Top Dressing

Soil mixes (loam, sand and organic matter) added and raked over the lawn

  • Corrects small surface irregularities
  • Improved thatch decomposition and top soil texture
  • Greater rooting and thickening of turf

Overseeding

Overseeding is process of sowing new grass seeds onto existing lawns

  • Repairs damaged areas of lawn and fills in bare patches, making it denser and more luscious
  • Increases shade and drought tolerance
  • Reduces occurrence and rigorousness of moss and disease
  • Grass is harder wearing, healthier and more vibrant

Worm & Casts

As some worms aerate the soil, they should certainly be encouraged, but certain species of earthworms excrete soil and plant debris, which are not only unsightly and easily spread, but can create an ideal environment for moss to establish, which is why it should not be left untreated

Scarification

Scarification is the mechanical removal and control of thatch (decaying organic matter) and moss that build up and increases risk of fungal lawn diseases

  • Healthier more disease tolerant lawn

  • Improves rooting

Autumn – Preparing for Winter

Now that the summer is over, leaves are turning brown and the air is turning cooler we need to treat our lawns in preparation for winter.

After your other seasonal treatments your grass should be long, lustrous and green and we want to help you to keep it that way by using a specially formulated fertiliser to maintain the and strengthen the grass.

Winter – Supporting Rest

The arrival of Winter means shorter cooler days and dark nights. It is important to support your lawn’s rest with winter treatments. Winter months see a decline in grass growth so we need to use a different formula to other seasons.
